Terms of Service

Our application is built on local-first principles, prioritizing your data sovereignty and privacy. Your notes, documents, and data are primarily stored on your local device, encrypted using industry-standard algorithms. While this ensures your ability to work offline and maintains complete control over your information, you are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of your local data. We recommend regularly using the built-in export and backup features to prevent data loss.

We implement robust security measures to protect your data. All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption on your device. When sync is enabled, data is encrypted end-to-end during transmission using state-of-the-art encryption protocols. While we strive to ensure maximum security, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. You acknowledge that you use our services at your own risk and agree to maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You retain all intellectual property rights to the content you create and store in the application. However, you are solely responsible for all content created, transmitted, or stored through our services. You agree not to use our services to store or share: (a) content that infringes on intellectual property rights; (b) malicious software or code; (c) illegal content or content that violates any applicable laws; (d) content that promotes hate speech or discrimination. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms, though we have no obligation to review user content.

While our application is local-first, we offer optional cloud synchronization services. These services are provided 'as is' and 'as available.' We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to sync services. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the sync service with reasonable notice. Premium features, including enhanced sync capabilities, are subject to additional terms and payment requirements. You agree to use sync services in compliance with fair usage policies and not to attempt to circumvent any limitations or restrictions.

You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination: (a) your access to premium features will cease; (b) local data remains accessible on your device; (c) cloud-synced data will be retained for 30 days, after which it will be permanently deleted; (d) you can export your data during this 30-day period. We may also terminate or suspend your account for violations of these terms, illegal activity, or extended periods of inactivity. In cases of termination for violations, we reserve the right to immediately delete cloud-stored data without the 30-day retention period.
